Cosmetology Forum “Ecology of Beauty” – Novosibirsk

In September the Siberian cosmetology society witnessed a-one-of-a-kind event. On 11th September within the framework of the international project “Green Injections” a science and practice Cosmetology Forum “Ecology of Beauty” took place at the Mayakovsky Civic Centre. The Forum was dedicated to Safe Injection Techniques in Aesthetic Medicine. The event was held on the same date, the world celebrated the International Beauty Day, and, therefore, the atmosphere was solemn and festive.

The Siberian event was attended by more than 200 medical cosmetology professionals from various cities of Siberia – Novosibirsk, Barnaul, Omsk, Krasnoyarsk, Tomsk, Novokuzneck. The Forum was initialized and organized by the companies Phitogen Holding (Italy) and“Phitogen” (Russia) with the participation and support of Fidia Farmaceutici (Italy). The Forum began with a discussion on environment related questions in the eld of Cosmetology. Scientic reports and presentations were held by guests from Moscow and Italy:

• Andrea Alessandrini, specialized in vascular surgery, dermatological and aesthetic medicine and surgery, professor at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, head of the Angiology Department of the Italian Ministry of Health (Rome, Italy),
• Natalya Popova, head of the international relations department of Phitogen Holding (Italy),
• Marina Rusova, medical cosmetologist with the Federal medical biology agency at the Medical Sanitary Department 170 of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation (Moscow, Russia),
• Lyudmila Kamelina, dermatologist, cosmetologist, highest category board certied (Moscow, Russia).

The ecology is one of the most burning subjects today. This trend is becoming more and more popular all over the world and in every field. There is also a great struggling in cosmetology towards pure and environment friendly products. The matter becomes even more important when it comes to implement injection materials. This is the reason why the faster the cosmetology and aesthetic medicine industry develops – especially in the branch of injection techniques – the more relevant becomes the matter of environmental safety. Many safety standards applicable to aesthetic medicine have long ago entered the lives of the European businesses specialized in Aesthetics. Gradually Russia, too, is joining these standards. Within the Novosibirsk Forum the Italian company PHITOGEN HOLDING has presented a new ecological movement «Green injections», explaining to Siberian medical cosmetologists the concept, philosophy and ecological standards of GREEN INJECTIONS in aesthetic medicine.

The International Environmental Movement Green Injections that applies to the cosmetology field sets up standards of: • Green Products – absolutely pure products with no residual proteins, whereby the content of the BDDE agent – being even 10 times lower than in other similar products – is at the lowest level permitted • Green Technologies – the new-generation products are manufactured in the “Green Heart of Italy” – the Umbria region – in compliance with the strictest rules aimed at protecting the environment. • Green Results – visually “ecological” corrections that guarantee completely natural results! with the aim to obtain natural effects of correction and to maintain natural beauty over long time. The concept of environment friendliness applies not only to the final product and the treatment procedure. Among other things it also means clean manufacturing process where are employed: energy-saving machinery, complex water and air-purication systems, bio-degradable packaging materials etc. Beyond cosmetic treatments in the name of beauty, this beauty depends on many factors, such as clean air that we breath, clean water that we drink and many other things that regard our health. The pioneers of this environmental project are a group of Italian companies, manufacturers of Hyaluronic Acid for medicine and aesthetics, and of HA-based beauty products, among which: biorevitalizers, gels for contour correction, volumizers (gels for the creation of volumes). Why Italy? Because this small country has been dictating beauty cannons to the whole world for centuries. In the area of cosmetology Italy is ahead of the rest of the world. Every cosmetologist is familiar with Italian cosmetics, peelings, injection products. This popularity alone tells a lot. Quality and great results of Italian products are tried and true. Such a small country compared to the dimensions of the globe, cannot allow itself to pollute the environment during manufacturing processes. Thus Italy is ahead of the rest of the world even when it comes to the eld of the Ecology of Beauty. During the Forum a Declaration for the adhesion of beauty enterprises to the “Green injections” movement was presented. In the Declaration it is stated: “ We (the cosmetologists) use in our pratice highly environment friendly products: IAL-System, IAL-System ACP, IAL-System DUO, Regenyal Idea, Regenyal BioExpander manufactured by Fidia Farmaceutici and Regenyal Laboratories Italy . These products are characterized by the most environment friendly figures among products of the same category, with regard to the safety of processes that may take place in the skin as a consequence of injection treatments. Product creation principles: • The product is manufactured from biologically active substances, compatible with the human organism, among which highly pure Hyaluronic Acid. • The product spreads homogeneously within the tissues, without causing inspissations, not even in differently thick skin areas. • The product bio-integrates with the tissues – spreading softly and naturally, it interacts with the tissue by intensively moisturizing and stimulating the latter. • The product is elastic and perfectly follows the active mimic movements of the host-tissue.” The biggest part of the Forum was dedicated to contemporary trends in International Aesthetic medicine – new approaches to the correction of appearance, and restoration of the patient’s attractiveness and youth. A completely new idea of correction possibilities and methods is now coming into the foreground, – the volumetric restoration of the face. This trend can be clearly seen in the recently appeared aesthetic medicine procedure – the bio-revolumetry. The term that defines this new procedure consists of three words: bio – means the use of environment friendly and biocompatible substances, re – restoration and re-construction of tissues, volumetry – means restoration of volume, which is a property of healthy and young tissues. Thus, Bio-revolumetry – or volumetric modeling of the involution-caused changes of the face – resolves contemporarily a number problems: recreation/augmentation of the volume, filling of wrinkles, lifting, improvement of skin structure and quality. It is for this treatment that Italian experts of Fidia Farmaceutici and Regenyal Laboratories have developed and launched on the market specialized bio-revolumetrics IAL-System DUO, Regenyal BioExpander, based on highly puried HA manufactured by Fidia Farmaceutici through advanced and patented bio-technologies; which permit to obtain a mono-phase gel while using both, stabilized and free HA. The new-generation products allow for a complex approach to facial rejuvenation through correction and re-structuring. The new procedure was brilliantly presented by Prof. Andrea Alessandrini. Paying much attention to detail, he explained the concept of the new method, properties of the products and various treatment techniques. Several workshop videos were shown and treatments on models were performed. Professor Alessandrini also presented his innovative approach to the aesthetics of the treatment. In fact, when it comes to the restoration of lost volumes, every medical cosmetology specialist should be a little bit of a sculptor. Therefore the cosmetologists were oered an original classication of facial volume deficit (Local Hypo-volumes), a method of facial analysis as the rest step to take in volumizing and an explanation on how to develop a personalized scheme forn facial modeling. A lot of attention was paid to new safe techniques for carrying out treatment by the means of cannulae, to the ways of treatment in dangerous anatomic areas, and to the advantages of the cannulae-technique. The subject of the seminar and new arrivals presented woke very much interest among the audience. The knowledge acquired there will certainly greatly contribute to professional growth. This innovative direction is full of potential which will stimulate further development of injection cosmetology. This direction should be followed in the future, as it represents the most effective and safe anti-ageing methods! This event that took place on the International Beauty Day ended in compliments, congratulations, gifts and expressions of gratitude.
